Community protection.

Practical training.

Veteran-led.

CitySafe is a public safety initiative powered by Personal Protective Concepts (PPC). We offer free and low-cost workshops that teach New Yorkers how to stay safe, respond to threats, and protect their communities.

Led by U.S. military veterans, our trainings are real-world, trauma-informed, and designed to empower, not intimidate. Whether you’re learning self-defense, situational awareness, or how to help in a crisis, CitySafe meets you where you are.

What We Offer

We host monthly pop-up workshops, community events, and skill-building sessions across NYC and online. Each session focuses on practical tools and training that anyone can learn, regardless of background or experience.

Workshops include:

  • Self-Defense Fundamentals

  • Emergency First Aid & Medical Response

  • De-escalation & Verbal Defense

  • Situational Awareness & Personal Safety

  • Monthly Events Tied to Awareness Campaigns

(e.g. AAPI Safety, Pride Month, Mental Health Awareness, etc.)

Why It Matters

Safety shouldn’t be a luxury. With violence and public safety concerns rising, especially in marginalized communities, CitySafe fills the gap with accessible, high-quality training, offered in parks, cafés, community centers, and wherever people gather.

Our goal isn’t to instill fear. It’s to build confidence, readiness, and resilience in the people who need it most.
